Over the last few years we have lost so many legendary talents in the world of music. It would be too difficult to try and honor them all on just one radio episode and as I say in the program, I could easily devote a weekly show to musicians who continue to pass away all the time. This little moment of consciousness is very short. So, we must honor the dead, but more importantly, remember not to take the living for granted. Because in the blink of an eye those you love could suddenly disappear.

In my opinion, music is one of the most amazing things that I have experienced in my life and throughout human existence music has found its way into many branches of the human experience, from weddings to funerals, movie soundtracks to religious ceremonies. Yet, one has to admit, it is the natural world that has ultimately influenced these sonic interpretations created by humans. From burbling streams and pounding rain to birdsong and wind blowing through canyons, over time humans have obsessively worked to invent countless tools with which to replicate the sounds of this conscious world. Inspired by the warm breezes in these last days of summer, The Lovecast brings you The Windy Version, to celebrate wind music.
